Hello!

Team Canine, Inc was founded by Jade Tamara Whitney in 1999. Unhappy with the attitude of master/servant training styles based in intimidation and forceful methods, I ventured out on a mission to find another way.  I have studied the pioneers of non-violent training as well as the fathers of modern day psychology and within my collegiate academia completed nine psychology courses and two medical degrees, with distinction.  But most of all I have learned from the greatest teachers of dog behavior that will ever walk this earth; dogs. The thousands of dogs that have been such patient teachers to me have been the greatest contributors to how I train. I have been fortunate enough to have been able to educate thousands of dogs and their families through television, radio, newspaper columns, in classes and in private in-home lessons.

My goal is to educate the millions of people that are searching for a gentle, compassionate, common sense approach to training their dogs. I want to live my life doing what I love and to make a difference in as many hearts and minds (human and dog) as possible. The more people I can educate, the more dogs will be spared from abuse, neglect, harsh training methods and unnecessary euthanasia.
